The Contact Record generates a record of any contact made by or on behalf of a child or young person and his or her family.

Completing a Contact Record

The person receiving the contact should complete and sign the Contact Record. If the case does not proceed past this stage Council’s with Social Services Responsibilities will need to ensure that their policy on notification to individuals about whom it holds information and storage of this information for a specific period of time complies with the Data Protection Act 1998.
