Placement Plan Part 1 - Placement Agreement
The
Placement Plan Part 1 sets out the arrangements and agreements
which should to be in place when a child or young person becomes
looked after, such as, essential names and addresses, immediate
arrangements for contact, agreement for the child to be looked
after and to receive medical treatment. The Placement Plan
Part 1 should be completed whenever a child or young person
becomes looked after, even in an emergency.
Using the Placement Plan Part 1 - Placement Agreement
The Placement Plan Part 1 can provide a useful focus during
tense or emotive meetings to arrange for a child or young
person to become looked after. The focus on the detail of
the child or young person's day to day needs may help to reassure
parents or carers that their child will be well cared for.
The Placement Plan Part 1 comes in a self-duplicating version
so that information can be shared with carers at the same
time as the child is placed with them, even in an emergency
.
