Exercise 1: step 1
Law into practice 1:
general principles of recording and data protection
Initial self-assessment question
How well do you know the practice implications of the law
relating to recording and data protection?
The aim of the first three exercises is to give you a chance
to brush up your knowledge about the law on recording and
access to records. But the emphasis throughout is on helping
you to relate the law to practice; we are not trying to turn
you into lawyers, so make sure that, if complex legal points
occur when people ask to see their files, you seek advice
from managers or lawyers (or both).
Each of the three exercises consists of a short quiz with
ten questions, followed by the answers. We hope you enjoy
doing them. Good luck!
